Chapter 9 - The DNA BombMarcus was pacing his living room when his phone rang. It wasn't the police. It was a private investigator he had hired to look into Victoria’s past financial records.

"Mr. Vance, you need to see this immediately," the investigator said, sounding breathless. "I pulled the hospital delivery records from the day your son was born. There was an administrative discrepancy. The maternity nurse swapped paperwork."
"What are you talking about?" Marcus snapped. "Get to the point!"
"The baby Victoria tried to drown... is not your biological child. Nor is it hers. Victoria found out about a month ago. She planned to frame you, take the settlement, and disappear with the real heir, or use it as blackmail."
