Chapter 10 - THE MASTERMIND UNMASKED😱 SHOCKING TWIST ENDING! THE MAID WAS NEVER FBI! THE ULTIMATE BETRAYAL THAT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND! 🔥

Three days later.

The quiet morning sun broke over the Chicago skyline. The Rowan Freight scandal had dominated national news. Evan Cross was in federal custody awaiting a lifetime in solitary confinement, Julian Rowan’s criminal syndicate was completely dismantled, and Gabriel had officially signed over full legal ownership of Rowan Freight to a blind trust for his children.

Gabriel stood in his private study at the mansion, staring out at the manicured lawn where Leo and Maya were playing safely with Lucy under the watchful eye of armed security.

The door to the study opened softly.

Hannah Bennett walked in, dressed in a sharp maroon suit, carrying a leather briefcase.

"The federal court just finalized the immunity paperwork, Gabriel," Hannah said, placing the documents on his desk. "You're completely clear. The government considers you a victim of Julian and Evan's conspiracy."

Gabriel didn't turn around immediately. He kept his eyes on the children playing in the yard.

"Lucy is a remarkable kid," Gabriel said softly. "Her hearing... her attention to detail. She noticed Nolan’s squeaky shoe. She found the blue key under the stairs."

"She’s a smart girl," Hannah replied with a gentle smile. "She gets it from her mother."

Gabriel slowly turned around. In his hand, he held a small silver USB drive he had recovered from Julian’s personal safe on The Sovereign.

"I decrypted my father’s personal audio logs last night, Hannah," Gabriel said, his voice terrifyingly calm.

Hannah’s smile faded slightly. "Oh?"

"My father kept detailed voice recordings of every transaction he made over the last twenty years," Gabriel continued, taking a step toward her. "Including the phone call he received fourteen years ago from the real architect of this entire plan."

Hannah remained silent, her posture instantly shifting, her eyes turning cold as stone.

"The FBI has no record of an Agent Hannah Bennett," Gabriel revealed, plugging the USB drive into his desk terminal. "The Bureau confirmed this morning... Hannah Bennett died in a motorcycle accident in London fifteen years ago."

Gabriel pressed play.

A woman’s smooth, commanding voice filled the study through the high-end speakers: “Julian, your son Gabriel is getting soft. He wants to go clean. I have placed Evan in position, but if we want total control of the $10 Billion Rowan reserves without Gabriel noticing, we need a long game. I will take my sister Clara’s identity as a ghost, I will place myself inside his house as the housekeeper, and I will use my daughter to guide Gabriel exactly where we need him to go.”

Gabriel looked Hannah dead in the eye.

"You were never Clara's twin sister," Gabriel whispered, the terrifying truth dawning on him. "You were the head of the international syndicate Julian was buying weapons from. You staged Clara’s death, you staged Evan’s treason, and you used your own daughter’s 'innocent' observations to manipulate me into destroying my father and Evan... leaving you with sole control of the $10 Billion offshore reserves!"

"Hannah"—or whoever she truly was—didn't panic. Instead, a chilling, beautiful smile spread across her face.

She reached into her coat, but not for a gun. She pulled out a glass of champagne from the tray on the side table, taking a slow sip.

"You really are as sharp as Clara said you were, Gabriel," she said softly, her voice dropping the warm motherly tone entirely, replaced by the lethal calm of an international crime lord. "But it's too late."

"Too late for what?" Gabriel growled, reaching beneath his desk for his sidearm.

"Check the blind trust documents you just signed five minutes ago," she purred. "You didn't transfer Rowan Freight to your children, Gabriel. You signed the legal guardianship of the trust over to Lucy’s legal guardian."

Gabriel’s eyes widened in sheer horror as he looked down at the paper on his desk. His signature was at the bottom of a master transfer deed—naming Hannah Bennett as the sole trustee of the $10 Billion Rowan empire.

"Lucy was never hiding from Nolan Pierce under the stairs that day, Gabriel," Hannah whispered, leaning in close to his ear. "I told her to pull your coat. I told her to tell you about the squeaky shoe. You thought you were playing chess against Evan and your father..."

She patted his cheek softly, her touch sending shivers down his spine.

"...but you were just a pawn on my board from the very beginning."

Hannah walked gracefully to the study door, opening it to reveal two blacked-out SUVs waiting in the driveway. She turned back one last time, tossing a small blue enamel key onto his mahogany desk.

"Thank you for the $10 billion, Gabriel. Keep the mansion. My daughter and I have a world to run."

The door clicked softly shut behind her, leaving Gabriel Rowan standing alone in the silence of his empty palace—completely ruined, not by the mafia, not by his enemies, but by the quiet maid who had walked through his front door fourteen years ago.
