Chapter 4 - THE ULTIMATUM🚨 "YOUR DAUGHTER OR YOUR EMPIRE!" EVAN'S TERRIFYING PHONE CALL CHANGES EVERYTHING! 😱

Before Gabriel could pocket the micro-SD card, his encrypted satellite phone vibrated in his pocket. An unknown, untraceable number flashed on the OLED screen.
Gabriel answered, placing it on speaker. "Evan."
A low, raspy chuckle echoed through the receiver, mixed with the distinct hum of a jet engine.
"I wondered how long it would take you to find Nolan’s body, Gabriel," Evan said smoothly. "I assume you have the micro-SD card by now? Nolan always was a greedy bastard."
"You're a dead man walking, Evan," Gabriel said, his voice dropping into a razor-thin growl. "There isn't a corner of this world where you can hide from me or the Bureau."
"Oh, I'm not hiding, my dear brother," Evan sneered. "In fact, I'm currently looking at something very precious to you. Or should I say... someones?"
Gabriel’s chest seized. "What are you talking about?"
"Did you really think I didn't know Hannah Bennett was FBI?" Evan laughed hysterically. "Did you really think I didn't know your little reunion at the safehouse was happening? Check your phone's live security feed from the safehouse, Gabriel."
Hannah instantly pulled out her tactical tablet, tapping into the encrypted feed of the safehouse where Leo and Maya were being guarded by six federal agents.
The screen lit up.
The six agents were lying motionless on the floor. Standing in the middle of the living room was a team of masked mercenaries wearing black tactical gear. One of them held a trembling Leo, while another held a gun to four-year-old Maya’s head.
"No!" Hannah gasped, dropping her tablet.
"Here is my offer, Gabriel," Evan’s voice turned icy cold. "You bring the micro-SD card and $50 million in untraceable bearer bonds to the grain silos at Port Authorities by 4:00 AM. You come alone. No police, no FBI, no tactical teams. If I see a single flashing light, I give the order, and your children die on live stream."
"Evan, listen to me—"
"4:00 AM, Gabriel. Or you can collect what's left of your family in zip-top bags."
