"Hands where I can see them!" I roared, pulling the trigger.
The blast pulverized the drywall above their heads, raining plaster down on their shoulders. The sheer shock of an elderly grandmother firing a shotgun stopped them dead in their tracks.
Before they could recover, Agent Sterling and her federal backup swarmed from the side corridors, tackling the lead mercenary to the hardwood floor.
At the back window, another intruder tried to break through the glass, but Tommy met him with a heavy wrench, sending the man tumbling backward into the rose bushes.
