Chapter 19 - The Turning Tide"Just one," Rico said softly.

Before Dominic could pull the trigger, a blinding flash of light exploded from the rafters above the catwalk.
Flash-bang.
The deafening concussion rocked the refinery, followed instantly by the sharp, shattering roar of high-caliber sniper fire from outside the broken skylights.
Dominic’s enforcer holding Clara took a bullet to the shoulder, collapsing instantly onto the metal grating. Clara didn't hesitate—she threw her weight forward, slamming her tied feet into the back of the second guard's knees, sending him tumbling over the open edge of the catwalk into the darkness below.
"Dante!" Rico roared, drawing his weapon and firing two precise shots that shattered Dominic’s pistol right out of his hand.
From the main doors, Dante and a dozen elite enforcers stormed the refinery, overwhelming Dominic's remaining guards in a matter of seconds before they even knew what hit them.
Dominic stumbled back, clutching his bleeding hand, his eyes wide with utter disbelief. "No... no, I checked your comms! You couldn't have known!"
Rico walked up the metal stairs, his boots clanging heavily with every step. He stopped right in front of his uncle, his face inches away, cold as a winter storm.

"You forgot one rule in the family, Uncle," Rico whispered, his voice dripping with lethal calm. "Never underestimate a man who has finally learned how to love."
Rico raised the butt of his pistol and brought it down hard across Dominic’s jaw, sending the traitor crashing unconscious onto the concrete floor.
