Chapter 30 - Dawn of an Unbroken LegacyBefore Julian’s thumb could depress the button, the massive stained-glass dome overhead shattered inward with a thunderous roar of breaking glass and splintering wood.

WHUMP-WHUMP-WHUMP.
Federal tactical helicopters hovered directly above the open dome, dropping smoke grenades and blinding flashbangs into the grand reading room.
"Federal agents! Drop the detonator!" Agent Miller’s voice boomed through the tactical speakers from above.
"No!" Julian screamed in blind panic, slamming his thumb down on the button.
Click.
Nothing happened.
The emergency frequency jammer Isabella had secretly disabled via the mainframe downstairs had allowed the federal tactical team to override the demolition trigger milliseconds before impact.
Before Julian could react, Marcus lunged forward from his chair, using his shoulder to tackle Julian hard against the marble balustrade, disarming him instantly. Federal agents swarmed the balcony, slapping heavy steel handcuffs onto Julian and hauling him away.
Moments later, Marcus rushed over to Isabella, pulling her into a tight, fierce embrace.
"Are you okay?" Marcus asked, his voice trembling slightly.
"I'm okay," Isabella whispered, burying her face in his shoulder as tears of relief finally slipped down her cheeks. "We're both okay."
