Isabella didn't cower. She looked at Lucas, Mateo, and Sofia, remembering the tiny infants she had carried through the storm ten years ago. Fear dissolved, replaced by a fierce, blazing courage.
"You missed one thing, Victor," Isabella said, her voice steady and clear.
Victor frowned, his finger tightening slightly on the trigger. "What could a street rat possibly have that I missed?"
"I'm not fighting alone," Isabella whispered.
At that exact second, the heavy steel maintenance hatch at the top of the tower blew inward with a deafening roar of C4 explosives. Flashbang grenades rained down into the chamber, blinding white light and thunderous sound filling the space.
"Agh!" Victor screamed, dropping his pistol as he was thrown backward against the concrete wall by the blast wave.
From the smoke-filled hatch, Marcus Vance led a heavily armed federal tactical team, rappelling down the steel cables with lightning speed. Marcus dropped to the floor, instantly neutralizing Victor with a swift tackle and slapping heavy steel cuffs onto his wrists.
Simultaneously, tactical officers rushed to the triplets, cutting the ropes and tearing the tape from their mouths.

"Isabella!" Sofia cried, running straight into Isabella's arms and burying her face in her jacket.
Lucas and Mateo crowded around them, wrapping their arms tightly around Isabella as Marcus stood guard over the arrested criminal.
