Chapter 10 - The Ultimate Ending

The birth of the triplets made national headlines. THE WHITMORE HEIRS ARRIVE: A NEW ERA AT VANCE-WHITMORE HOLDINGS.

One year later, on a crisp autumn afternoon, I stood on the sprawling front lawn of the former Whitmore family estate—now legally renamed The Sinclair Trust for Maternal Health, a non-profit organization I founded to support women struggling with infertility and medical trauma.

I held my three children in my arms: Liam, Leo, and Lily. Three healthy, laughing toddlers with bright eyes and boundless energy.

A rusted black sedan pulled slowly up the circular driveway. The door creaked open, and Raymond stepped out. He looked hollowed out, wearing a faded coat, carrying his own battered suitcase. He had lost his money, his company, his social standing, and his family name.

He stopped ten feet away from me, staring in disbelief at the three children who held the bloodline he had so carelessly discarded.

"Clara..." he whispered, his voice cracking. "Can I... can I just look at them? Just for a second?"

I shifted Lily slightly in my arms, looking down at Raymond with absolute, unyielding indifference. There was no anger left in my heart—only the hollow pity he used to reserve for me.

"You spent eleven years looking right past us, Raymond," I said quietly, the ocean breeze catching my hair. "You don't get to see us now."

I turned my back on him, walking up the grand marble steps into the warm, glowing foyer of the mansion, leaving him standing alone in the driveway with his suitcase.
