Chapter 20 - The Unwritten Page

The morning sun rose over Denver with a brilliant, unclouded clarity, signaling the dawn of a brand-new year. Aegis Global Enterprises stood tall downtown, its foundation secure, its ethical charter uncompromised, and its leadership dedicated to empowering the next generation of innovators.

I sat at the wooden desk in my home study, the very desk where I had once plotted my counter-attacks against Julian and Marcus. But the folders were gone. The surveillance files, the bank statements, and the threat assessments had all been shredded, burned, or locked away in national historical archives.

In their place sat a clean, blank leather-bound journal.

I opened the cover to the first empty page, picked up a fountain pen, and paused for a brief moment as the sunlight warmed my hands.

I pressed the nib of the pen against the paper and began to write my own story.
