Chapter 1 - The Grand Entrance

The heavy hum of a custom stretch limousine cut through the polite murmurs of the wealthy wedding guests gathered on the hotel steps. Everyone expected another luxury sedan carrying elite friends of the bride, but this vehicle was different—it commanded the entire space, rolling to a smooth, flawless stop right at the red-carpet entrance. Camera flashes bounced off its polished black exterior, blinding in the morning sun.
David adjusted his bowtie, a self-satisfied grin plastered across his face. He leaned down to whisper to Olivia, his voice dripping with arrogance. "Watch this, darling. This is going to be hilarious. I bet she borrowed bus fare just to gawk at us."
Olivia giggled, holding her champagne flute tighter. "You're terrible, David. But I love it. Let's see the peasant bow down."
The rear door of the limousine clicked open.
First came a polished leather shoe stepping onto the red carpet. Then emerged Emily. But she wasn't wearing the faded thrift-store clothes David had spent years mocking. She stepped out draped in a custom-tailored emerald-green silk dress that caught the light with every movement, a delicate diamond pendant resting against her collarbone—a signature piece from her own booming fashion house. Her posture was straight, her chin held high, radiating a quiet, untouchable confidence that left the crowd whispering in sudden awe.
Before anyone could fully process her stunning transformation, the limousine door opened wider. Three little figures stepped out behind her.

A trio of identical four-year-old boys dressed in matching miniature Armani tuxedos, complete with tiny bowties and slicked-back hair, stepped onto the pavement in unison. They looked up at the towering hotel, then turned identical, curious eyes toward David.
The smug smile instantly froze on David’s face. His jaw slackened, and the glass of champagne slipped from his fingers, shattering loudly against the stone steps.
