Inside the nursery, the house was quiet once more. Emily tucked her three boys into their beds, whispering gentle goodnights and kissing each of their foreheads as they drifted off into peaceful, dream-filled sleep.

She walked softly down the hallway toward her private study, pausing by the window that overlooked the long driveway winding down toward the security gates.

For a brief second, she thought she saw a lone figure walking down the road toward the city—a man wearing a rugged coat, moving with steady, unhurried steps toward a future he was finally building with his own two hands.

She had walked through the fire, broken every chain that bound her, and emerged as the undisputed queen of her own destiny.
