Chapter 25 - Descent Into GenevaThe private Falcone jet touched down on the tarmac at Geneva International Airport under a cold, overcast Swiss sky. The air smelled of pine, snow, and old money.

We traveled light—just Gabriel, Carmine, four elite enforcers, and me.
Our destination was a secluded, ultra-secure alpine chalet overlooking Lake Geneva, where Evelyn Vance had taken refuge under the protection of the European syndicate council.
Sitting in the back of the armored Mercedes SUV as it wound up the snow-dusted mountain road, I loaded the magazine of my snub-nosed pistol with calm, practiced precision.
Gabriel noticed, reaching out to cover my hand with his large, warm palm.
"You don't have to pull the trigger this time, Maya," Gabriel said softly. "Let me handle Evelyn."
