Chapter 10 - The New Beginning on Wellington StreetSix months later.

The peeling blue house on Wellington Street was gone. In its place stood a charming, beautifully restored two-story cottage with fresh white siding, a wraparound porch, and a vibrant garden filled with blooming hydrangeas.

In fact, every single house on Wellington Street had been completely renovated, transforming the forgotten neighborhood into a warm, thriving community where families could live with dignity and hope.

On the wide wooden front porch of the white cottage, Clara Wilson sat in a comfortable rocking chair, breathing easily, the color fully restored to her healthy, radiant face.

Emma and Lily ran across the emerald-green lawn, chasing a golden retriever puppy while bursting into bright, musical laughter.

Samuel walked out the front door carrying a tray with three glasses of fresh lemonade, setting it down on the porch table. He sat on the porch swing beside Clara, wrapping a warm arm around her shoulders.

Clara leaned her head against his chest, looking out at her daughters playing in the Ohio sunshine.

"You bought the whole street, didn't you?" Clara asked with a soft, teasing smile.

"I bought a community," Samuel corrected gently, kissing the top of her head. "And I think I finally found a home."

Clara reached up, taking his hand and lacing her fingers through his. "Your mother would have loved this house, Samuel."

"I know she would have," Samuel whispered, looking up at the clear blue Ohio sky. "I think she’s watching right now."
