Chapter 16 - The Counter-Attack"Clara, take these documents and hide them in the sub-floor beneath the pantry," Samuel commanded, handing her the manila folder with absolute authority.

"What are you going to do?" Clara asked, grabbing his arm, her eyes filled with fear.

"I'm going to give them a distraction," Samuel said softly, offering a grim, confident smile.

Samuel slipped through the side pantry exit into the detached garage, moving quietly in the shadows. He knew every inch of the newly constructed property layout. Using the manual override on the garage control panel, he started his high-performance electric SUV, programming its autopilot feature to reverse at full throttle straight out the front driveway toward the mercenary van.
