Before Richard could lunge for the phone or the heavy brass paperweight on his desk, Marcus’s security team swarmed the room. Heavy steel zip-ties clicked tightly around Richard’s wrists.
"You can't do this! I built this firm with you!" Richard screamed as he was dragged backward toward the private elevator.
"No, Richard," Samuel said coldly, turning his back on him. "I built an empire. You built a prison."
As the elevator doors closed on Richard Sterling's frantic screams, Samuel walked over to the floor-to-ceiling glass window, looking out over the glittering, endless expanse of the New York City skyline.
