Chapter 13 - The Shadow Holding CompanyBack at the Wellington Street cottage, Samuel laid the documents out across the dining table. Clara walked in, holding a tray of coffee, her expression turning serious as she looked at the grim lines on his face.

"What is it, Samuel? What did the bank find?" Clara asked, setting the tray down and sitting beside him.
"My mother’s safety deposit box," Samuel replied tightly. "Richard didn't just lie to cut off communication. He used my father's stolen inventions as collateral to launch Andrews Global. And legally, because of a loophole in the original 2012 incorporation filings, Richard still holds twenty percent control of the holding company's voting rights from inside federal prison."
Clara’s eyes widened. "From prison? How is that possible?"

"White-collar criminals have loopholes," Samuel growled, his fists clenching on the table. "Unless we audit the entire offshore holding structure within the next forty-eight hours, Richard’s legal team can execute a hostile seizure of our primary assets—including every property on this street."
Before Clara could answer, the front windows of the cottage rattled violently as a heavy, industrial-sized black van pulled up directly blocking the driveway.
