Chapter 19 - The Unwritten PageTwo years later.

The sun was setting over the picturesque shores of Lake Geneva, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of violet, gold, and crimson.

On the private balcony of a magnificent lakeside villa, Elena sat at a polished mahogany writing desk, holding an antique fountain pen above a blank, leather-bound journal.

The pages behind her were filled with the history of everything she had survived, everything she had rebuilt, and everything she had conquered.

Footsteps approached softly from behind, followed by the familiar, comforting warmth of familiar arms wrapping around her waist.

— Still working on your memoirs? Matthew’s voice murmured near her ear, his lips brushing softly against her temple.

Elena smiled, setting the pen down and leaning back against his chest.

— I’m not writing memoirs, Matthew, she corrected softly, turning her head to look up at him. — I’m writing the introduction.

Matthew looked down at her, his dark eyes filled with a deep, unbreakable devotion. On her left hand, catching the last golden rays of the Swiss sunset, a diamond ring sparkled brilliantly—simple, elegant, and permanent.

— The introduction to what? Matthew asked with a soft smile.

Elena reached out, taking his hand and placing it gently over her heart, where the future was just beginning to beat.
