The bullet struck Alex right in the shoulder, knocking him back against the control console. Vance chuckled, walking closer to deliver the final headshot. “Goodbye, Private.”

But Alex didn't scream. He didn't bleed red.

From his wound dripped a thick, iridescent black liquid.

Alex looked up, his eyes no longer human—his pupils had narrowed into sharp, yellow vertical slits. Over the past three weeks, handling the mutated cobras daily, absorbing tiny traces of venom through micro-cuts on his hands, and inhaling Alpha-7 had changed his physiology. The synthetic virus hadn't just made the snakes obey him—it had rewritten his DNA.

He was no longer just their feeder. He was the Hive.

Alex opened his mouth and issued a high-pitched, subsonic frequency that reverberated through the steel walls.

The reinforced concrete ceiling burst open. Tens of thousands of black cobras flooded into the bunker like a tidal wave of living death, dropping from vents, shattering glass, and crawling over the walls.

Vance dropped his gun in absolute terror, backing into a corner as the giant Mother Cobra emerged from the shadows behind Alex, rising nine feet into the air.

“No... stay back! I am your creator!” Vance shrieked.
