Chapter 9 - THE IRON ENCLOSURE“They built a 50-foot electric wall to keep him in... but he was already under their boots.”Six months had passed since Outpost 4 was erased from official military maps. High Command had classified the entire region as Sector Zero—a heavily guarded bio-containment zone surrounded by a 50-foot-high, 100,000-volt electrified titanium perimeter.

Over 500 heavily armed mercenaries and automated turrets guarded the outer ring. Their orders were simple: Shoot anything that slithers, crawls, or walks out of the jungle.

Inside the fortress control room, General Harrison—a ruthless veteran obsessed with total control—monitored the heat thermal cameras. Every night, the screens glowed red with millions of moving signals beneath the dense canopy.

“He’s still alive in there,” Harrison muttered, chewing on his cigar. “The boy didn’t die. He transformed.”

Suddenly, the ground beneath the fortress command post began to vibrate softly. It wasn't an earthquake. The frequency was rhythmic, echoing like a giant heart beating deep underground.

On the radar screen, millions of thermal dots weren't moving toward the electric fence—they were disappearing into the earth directly beneath the facility.

“General!” a young officer screamed, pointing at the surveillance monitor. “The fence isn't stopping them! They aren't trying to climb out... they've been digging!”

Before Harrison could trigger the lockdown alarm, the concrete floor beneath the command station shattered into dust.

VIRAL HOOK: They spent billions building a wall to cage a monster, forgetting that cobras live beneath the stone.
