Chapter 6 - The Dead Man's Warning"Vance, if you're watching this, it means Elena panicked and the safety protocol failed," David's voice echoed through the speakers, sounding tired and haunted.

Vance leaned forward, gripping the edges of the desk.

"The fire in Westchester wasn't an accident," David continued on screen. "The board didn't just want my shipping contracts—they wanted control of the syndicate's core accounts. I faked my death to draw the fire away from Elena and the kids. But I found out something bigger."

David paused, coughing slightly. "The person who authorized the hit on my family wasn't an outsider. It was someone sitting right inside our inner circle. Someone who holds a permanent seat on the Vance Corporation board of directors."

Before David could state the name, a loud crash echoed in the background. The screen shook violently, the sound of glass shattering filled the room, and the video feed abruptly cut to static.
