Chapter 7 - A New Dawn at Bellamy HouseThree weeks later.

Bellamy House had undergone a complete management overhaul. Dorian Pike was long gone, replaced by a seasoned, empathetic operations director who implemented strict zero-tolerance policies regarding staff harassment.

The private dining room looked pristine under the afternoon sun streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The door opened, and a tall, imposing figure in a custom-tailored charcoal suit walked in.

The entire waitstaff paused. But this time, there was no panic—only quiet respect.

Callum Ashford walked over to Table Twelve.

Sitting at the table was Marin Vale. She wasn't wearing a black server's vest today. She wore a sharp, elegant navy blue blazer, her hair falling softly around her shoulders, the faint pink mark on her cheek almost entirely faded thanks to Dr. Marcus’s advanced treatments.

She looked up as Callum approached, a warm, genuine smile breaking across her face.

"Mr. Ashford," Marin said, standing up to shake his hand. "I didn't expect to see you here today. I thought you only came for private evening reservations."

"I had some business to review with the new general manager," Callum said, sliding into the chair opposite her. He looked around the dining room, then back at her. "How is the new foundation work going? Did the first wave of grants go out to the North Side businesses?"

"We funded seventeen local shops last week," Marin said, her eyes shining with pride. "Mom’s tailoring shop is reopening next month in a brand-new space on Lincoln Avenue. She’s already designing custom curtains for half the board members who used to ignore her."

Callum smiled—a real, genuine smile that transformed his ordinarily stern features. "I'm glad to hear that, Marin. You earned every bit of it."

"I couldn't have done any of it without you, Callum," she said softly, dropping the formal title for the first time.

Callum reached across the table, his hand resting briefly over hers. "You did the hardest part, Marin. You survived. You stood your ground when everyone else looked away."

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment, the sunlight washing over the marble floors where a porcelain cup had shattered just a few weeks ago.

"Are you hungry?" Callum asked, picking up the leather menu. "The chef here actually knows how to treat his staff now. I promise you won't need to dodge any flying coffee."

Marin laughed, a bright, melodic sound that echoed through the quiet dining room.

"Only if you're paying, Mr. Ashford."

"Always," Callum replied, signaling a smiling waiter. "Always."
