Chapter 10 - The HorizonThe sun hung low over the harbor, painting the sky in breathtaking strokes of gold, pink, and deep violet. A gentle evening breeze rippled across the water as a luxury harbor cruise glided away from the dock, its decks alive with music, laughter, and the soft clinking of champagne glasses.

Emily stood at the front railing of the top deck, her hands resting comfortably on the warm teak wood. She wore a simple white linen dress that caught the wind, her eyes fixed entirely on the open horizon ahead.
Behind her, footsteps approached, and Rachel joined her at the railing, holding two glasses of sparkling cider. She handed one to Emily with a warm, genuine smile.
"To new horizons," Rachel toasted softly, raising her glass.

Emily clinked her glass against Rachel’s, the clear, bright sound ringing out over the gentle hum of the boat’s engine.
"To never looking back," Emily replied, taking a sip as the vessel sailed further out into the open sea, leaving the wreckage of the past far behind where it belonged.
