A crowd of cheering supporters lined the wooden pier, waving small flags and applauding as the sleek catamaran slowly slipped away from the dock, its engines humming with quiet power.
On the top deck, Emily stood at the front railing, her hands resting comfortably on the warm teak wood. The sunlight danced across the rolling blue expanse of the Atlantic, stretching out toward an endless, beautiful horizon. The ocean, once a symbol of division and deception in her marriage, was now her greatest ally—a vast, open highway to a future she controlled completely.
Rachel walked up beside her, leaning against the railing and looking out at the sparkling water.
"Think anyone onboard is going to claim they're seasick?" Rachel joked quietly.
Emily smiled, turning her gaze toward the open sea where a pod of dolphins suddenly breached the surface, leaping gracefully into the air as if welcoming them home.
