Chapter 10 - The Unexpected HorizonCRASH.

Before Richard could process the sound, a heavy grappling cable dropped straight through the shattered skylight of the observation lounge.
From the dark, windy night sky above, a tactical spotlight suddenly blinded the room, and three heavily armed federal agents in dark tactical gear dropped rapidly down the rope, their assault rifles instantly trained on Richard Davis.
"FEDERAL MARITIME LAW ENFORCEMENT! DROP YOUR WEAPON!"
Richard spun around, panic flashing across his face for the first time. He tried to swing his pistol toward the agents, but a sharp, blinding crack echoed through the room.
My aluminum bat connected with his wrist with vicious precision.
The silver pistol flew from his hand, clattering across the marble floor as Richard screamed, clutching his broken wrist and collapsing to his knees.
Agent Vance, leading the federal tactical team, stepped forward, kicking the pistol away and slapping heavy steel handcuffs onto the billionaire's wrists.
"Richard Davis, you're under arrest for international maritime trafficking, corporate racketeering, and conspiracy," Vance barked, hauling the old man to his feet. Vance then turned to me, lowering his weapon and offering a respectful nod. "Good work, Gunnery Sergeant. Headquarters received your encrypted distress transmission via the ship's backup satellite relay."
I lowered the aluminum bat, letting out a long, slow breath as the adrenaline finally began to fade from my veins. I looked down at my ruined white dress, my bruised knuckles, and the sparkling diamond ring still gleaming on my left hand.
"Thanks, Vance," I said, rolling my shoulders. "Took you long enough."
"We had to intercept the ship's automated course coordinates," Vance grinned, glancing at the handcuffed billionaire. "Looks like your honeymoon is officially canceled."
"Canceled?" I smiled, walking over to the floor-to-ceiling glass window as the first rays of dawn began to paint the horizon in brilliant shades of gold and pink over the Florida coast. "Agent Vance, my honeymoon hasn't even started yet. But David has a very long prison sentence ahead of him to think about wedding traditions."
I tossed the aluminum bat aside, adjusted my designer heels, and walked toward the helicopter waiting on the upper deck.
