Chapter 11 - The Inheritance of PowerThe morning sun cast a brilliant, fiery glow across the Miami skyline as our helicopter touched down on the private helipad. Federal agents swarmed the tarmac, escorting a battered, handcuffed Richard Davis into a waiting black SUV.

David was already inside another transport vehicle, his nose swollen twice its normal size, his designer suit stained with his own blood and tears. He wouldn’t look at me as I walked past. The billionaire playboy was gone; in his place was a broken coward facing a life behind bars.
Agent Vance stepped up beside me, handing me a heavy manila folder.
"Here are the initial asset-seizure documents, Sarah," Vance said, his expression a mix of professional respect and lingering awe. "When federal investigators raided Davis Global Holdings at sunrise, we found something unexpected. Richard’s board of directors had a contingency clause. If he and David were ever incapacitated or arrested for federal offenses, corporate control automatically reverts to the legal spouse of the primary heir."

I raised an eyebrow, taking the folder. "Meaning?"
"Meaning, legally, you now own fifty-one percent of the Davis empire," Vance smiled. "Congratulations, Sergeant. You didn't just survive your honeymoon—you bought the company."
