Chapter 20 - The Final NoteThe sun dipped low over the Mediterranean horizon, painting the evening sky in sweeping brushstrokes of violet, crimson, and gold.

We sat together on the stone wall overlooking the valley, watching the fireflies begin to dance across the darkening rows of grapevines. Isabella sat between Vincent and me, her small hand resting comfortably in her father's massive, calloused palm.

"Daddy," Isabella said quietly, looking up at the first bright star blinking into existence in the twilight sky.

"Yes, my little bird?" Vincent smiled, brushing a stray lock of hair from her forehead.

"Do you think Mommy can hear us all the way up there?"

Vincent looked out across the horizon, his eyes shining with a quiet, profound peace, before looking down at his daughter with a fierce, unwavering smile.

"Every single day, Bella," Vincent whispered, pulling us both close against his chest as the distant melody of a music box drifted softly on the evening breeze. "Every single day."
