Chapter 20 - THE UNFINISHED WHISPERHook: Even in victory, the shadows of the underworld hold one final, lingering secret waiting to be uncovered in the dark.

Three weeks later, The Velvet Crown was busier than ever, its jazz lounge filled with the soft hum of high-society conversations, safe and untouchable under Adrien's absolute protection.
Lena sat at the mahogany desk in the private penthouse, officially reviewing the legal restructuring documents of the newly reinstated Rostova foundation. Her life was her own again. The fear, the cages, the lies—all gone.
Adrien walked into the study, holding a small, unmarked wooden box that had been left with the downstairs concierge.
"What's that?" Lena asked, raising an eyebrow with a playful smile.
"Another mystery delivery," Adrien said, setting the box down on the desk. "No return address. Marco checked it for explosives and tracking signals. It's clean."
Lena used a small letter opener to pry open the aged wooden lid.
Inside sat an old, brass mechanical music box—the very one Marcus had thrown away months ago, believing it to be worthless junk.
Lena lifted the lid. A delicate, melancholic lullaby began to play, echoing softly through the quiet room.
As the music box spun, a hidden compartment at the base popped open automatically, revealing a small, folded piece of parchment paper covered in her mother's handwriting.
Lena unfolded it with trembling fingers and read the final words aloud:
"The vault is closed, but the war is only paused. Look for the raven tattoo, my love. They are already inside the inner circle."

Lena froze. The music box continued to play its haunting melody as Adrien’s eyes darkened, locking onto the open doorway of the penthouse.
New York was quiet. But in the shadows of the mafia boss's empire, a new storm was brewing.
