Chapter 6 - The Omega VaultWhile federal agents escorted a screaming, handcuffed Victoria through the executive suite, I walked past the boardroom toward Thomas’s private, biometric-locked office.

According to the instructions in his letter, the golden key didn't just open a physical vault; it disengaged the manual override for the Omega Vault hidden behind the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf. I inserted the emerald key into a brass slot concealed behind a portrait of Thomas’s father, then pressed my thumb against the digital scanner.

Access Granted, a synthetic voice chimed.

The heavy mahogany bookshelf swung inward, revealing a hidden, climate-controlled chamber lined with steel filing cabinets and a secure computer terminal glowing with encrypted data.

I stepped inside and flicked on the light. The files contained decades of dark secrets: payoffs to politicians, evidence of corporate sabotage, shell companies used to launder cartel money, and—most shockingly—documents proving that Victoria and Arthur Pendelton had systematically poisoned Thomas’s business associates to seize control of the board.

Sitting on the central steel desk was a second flash drive, marked with my name in Thomas's handwriting.

My hands trembled as I plugged it into the secure terminal. A video file immediately popped up on the screen, loading a live recording of Thomas recorded just days before our wedding.
