Chapter 17 - Operation Alpine NightTwenty-four hours later, a private unmarked Gulfstream jet touched down on a private tarmac nestled in the Swiss Alps outside Geneva under the cover of a freezing midnight snowstorm.

Adrian and a four-man tactical team stepped out onto the snowy tarmac, clad in tactical black gear, weapons drawn as the bitter wind whipped around them.
Their objective: the Veritas Syndicate’s European headquarters—a subterranean data and command bunker carved directly into the granite foundation of an abandoned Cold War fortress.
Using override codes extracted from Matteo’s encrypted comms unit, Daniel bypassed the perimeter biometric locks, and the team slipped silently through a heavy steel maintenance door into the bunker.
The corridors were eerily quiet, illuminated only by dim red emergency lights reflecting off polished concrete floors.
"Server room is fifty yards ahead," Daniel whispered into his comms headset, leading the sweep.
As they rounded the final corner into the massive quantum server chamber, a dozen Veritas guards raised their rifles.
"Drop your weapons!" a guard commander shouted.
Adrian didn't hesitate. He raised his rifle, moving with blinding speed and lethal precision.

Flashes illuminated the dark room as bullets ricocheted off concrete pillars. Within seconds, the Veritas guards were disarmed and neutralized, pinned to the floor by suppressive fire.
Adrian strode directly to the central quantum mainframe console, pulling a high-capacity master wipe drive from his tactical pouch.
