Chapter 18 - The Final ConfrontationBefore Adrian could slot the wipe drive into the console, heavy steel blast doors at the end of the room slid open with a loud mechanical hiss.

Director Vance walked into the room, flanked by two armed operatives. He didn't look panicked; instead, a calm, arrogant smile played on his lips.
"Impressive, Mr. Moretti," Vance applauded slowly, his voice echoing off the concrete walls. "You crossed an ocean just to walk right into a secure terminal trap."
"The only trap here is the one you built for yourself, Vance," Adrian replied, keeping his weapon leveled dead at Vance’s chest. "Every offshore account, every shell corporation, and every corrupt politician on your payroll is currently being uploaded to the global Interpol database by my team in Chicago."
Vance’s smile faltered for a fraction of a second. He glanced at the mainframe monitor, where a progress bar showed 98% Upload Complete.
"You fool!" Vance screamed, lunging forward to press a manual emergency power cut-off button on the desk.
Adrian fired instantly—not hitting Vance, but shattering the control console into a shower of sparks and electrical fire.
Daniel and the tactical team swarmed Vance and his remaining guards, slamming them against the server racks and clicking heavy steel cuffs around their wrists.
