Chapter 8 - The Family Reunion from HellAdrian stopped dead in his tracks. The sister he had mourned for twenty-five years stood before him, alive, elegant, and utterly corrupted.

"You died in that plane crash, Elena," Adrian said, his voice trembling slightly with suppressed rage. "Father mourned you. I spent years visiting a headstone that didn't even have a body beneath it."

Elena laughed—a cold, brittle sound that echoed off the glass walls. "Father didn't mourn me, Adrian. He sold me off to a rival syndicate boss to settle a poker debt when I was nineteen! I faked that plane crash just to escape this family’s bloody cage. Victor gave me the power to take back what our father stole from us."

"And framing me? Using an innocent mother and a three-year-old child as pawns?" Adrian stepped forward, his eyes flashing with lethal intent. "That was your idea of justice?"

Victor Kane stood up smoothly, adjusting his cuffs. "It's not personal, Moretti. It's simply hostile corporate restructuring. With your syndicate dismantled and your assets frozen by federal courts, Aegis Holdings takes over the entire Chicago port monopoly by sunrise."

"You forgot one minor detail, Victor," Adrian replied, raising his encrypted satellite phone.

He tapped the screen.

Downstairs in the building’s sub-basement server room, a high-frequency malware program planted by Marcus began wiping every offshore bank account, shell corporation registry, and incriminating federal file Kane and Elena had spent a decade compiling.

Victor’s smug smile instantly vanished. He lunged across the desk for a hidden panic button, but Daniel intercepted him, tackling him hard against the glass wall.
