Chapter 7 - The Penthouse InfiltrationMidnight struck once more across Chicago. High above the glittering skyline, the penthouse suite of the Kane Global Tower stood as a monument to corporate greed and ruthless ambition.

Using Miller’s severed thumb and optical retinal scan codes provided under extreme duress, Adrian, Daniel, and a four-man tactical extraction unit bypassed the building’s quantum encryption grid without firing a single shot.

They stepped out of the private elevator directly into the lavish, minimalist penthouse office.

Waiting for them in the center of the dark room, sitting comfortably behind a massive glass desk with a glass of scotch in his hand, was Victor Kane.

And standing beside him, leaning against the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake, was a striking woman with silver-streaked dark hair and cold, familiar green eyes.

"Hello, little brother," Elena said softly, turning her head to look at him, her voice dripping with decades of bitterness. "You always did have a flair for dramatic midnight entrances."
