Chapter 29 - The Darkness Before the Dawn Emergency red backup lights flooded the corridors of the estate with an eerie, pulsing glow.

Nico burst into the lower vault through the security blast doors, his weapon drawn, breathing heavily. "Boss! We’ve lost external communications! Every satellite uplink from here to the Atlantic has been jammed by an EMP pulse!"
Dante stepped away from the terminal, his face carved from absolute ice. "It’s not a local strike, Nico. They’re hitting our global infrastructure."
From the shadows of the stone staircase, a small, steady voice cut through the tension.
"They aren't trying to destroy the empire, Father," Leo said, walking down into the vault fully dressed in a tailored suit, carrying a secure military tablet in his hands. He didn't look scared; his dark eyes were burning with a cold, analytical fury. "They're trying to draw us out."

Leo held up the tablet, displaying a live satellite feed of the estate's perimeter gates. A fleet of unmarked, military-grade transport trucks had surrounded the property, cutting off all escape routes.
"They want the bloodline back," Leo stated calmly. "They built us in a laboratory, and now they've come to collect their investment."
