CHAPTER 3 — "THE LETTER THAT MADE THE MAFIA BOSS REACH FOR HIS GUN"

No one dared to speak.
The ranch had never been this quiet.
Hundreds of people stood frozen as the suited stranger stopped in front of Elena, removed his hat, and handed her the weathered envelope with both hands.
"It belongs to you," he said respectfully.
Alejandro's face hardened.
"Who are you?"
The man finally looked at him.
"My name is Gabriel Ortega."
"I was once employed by the original owner of this ranch."
The crowd exchanged confused glances.
Original owner?
Everyone had always believed Alejandro built the Garza empire from nothing.
Gabriel slowly continued.
"Twelve years ago... this land belonged to another family."
Alejandro suddenly roared,
"Enough!"
His bodyguards instantly surrounded Gabriel.
Hands rested on holstered pistols.
Several women in the crowd grabbed their children and stepped backward.
But Gabriel never flinched.
Instead, he looked directly at Elena.
"Your father told me that if anything ever happened to him, I must find his daughter."
Elena's hands trembled as she opened the envelope.
Inside was an old photograph.
A little girl, no older than ten, stood beside a smiling farmer while a young black foal playfully nudged her shoulder.
The little girl wore the same silver necklace Elena still carried today.
Behind them stood a wooden sign:
VALLE VERDE RANCH.
Not Garza Ranch.
Valle Verde.
The old stable hand suddenly covered his mouth.
"I remember that place..."
Another elderly ranch worker whispered,
"It existed before Alejandro came."
The crowd began murmuring louder.
Alejandro's expression darkened.
"Fake."
"It's all fake."
But Gabriel wasn't finished.
He pulled another document from his briefcase.
"This is the original property deed."
"It was transferred illegally after the fire."
The word fire echoed across the ranch.
Elena looked up sharply.
"My father always said our home burned down by accident."
Gabriel slowly shook his head.
"It wasn't an accident."
"It was arson."
The crowd gasped.
Alejandro stepped forward, fury burning in his eyes.
"You're making a dangerous accusation."
Gabriel calmly answered,
"I brought proof."
Before anyone could react, he held up a small flash drive.
"Everything is here."
"Land records."
"Bank transfers."
"Witness statements."
"And one recording."
Alejandro's breathing changed.
For the first time...
Fear appeared.
Only for a second.
But Elena saw it.
Without warning, Alejandro drew a silver revolver.
The crowd screamed.
He pointed it directly at Gabriel.
"Give me the drive."
Gabriel smiled.
"You already lost."
"What?"
"The files were uploaded this morning."
Alejandro's finger tightened on the trigger.
Before he could fire—
A thunderous neigh exploded across the ranch.
El Diablo launched forward.
Not toward Elena...
May you like
Toward Alejandro.
The massive stallion slammed into him with terrifying force, knocking the revolver from his hand and sending the feared mafia boss crashing into the dirt before everyone watching.
