Chapter 19 - Into the StormTwo hours later, a heavily armed tactical cutter belonging to my private security fleet sliced through the churning, storm-tossed waters of the open ocean. Heavy gray rain began to fall once again, mirroring the night Catherine and I had first reunited outside the hotel.

I stood on the forward deck, soaked to the bone, clutching a tactical rifle in my grip. My eyes were locked entirely on the massive luxury superyacht anchored half a mile ahead, riding the heavy swells of the dark sea. Its name, emblazoned in glowing gold letters across the stern, read The Sovereign.

"Samuel, listen to me," Marcus shouted over the roar of the wind and crashing waves, stepping up beside me in full tactical gear. "We have twenty men on standby. We board from the stern, secure the lower decks, and move upward. If Arthur realizes we're coming before we reach the stateroom, he could use the hostages as leverage."

"He won't have time," I said, my voice dead, cold, and absolute.

The cutter slammed against the swim platform of The Sovereign. Without waiting for the ramp to fully secure, I vaulted over the railing and hit the wet metal deck of the yacht, my tactical boots splashing through the pouring rain.

We moved fast and silent like ghosts through the lower engineering levels. Two of Arthur's private guards stepped out from a service corridor with submachine guns raised, but Marcus and his men neutralized them before they could even pull their triggers.

We climbed the steel staircase toward the upper deck, kicking open the double doors leading to the grand stateroom suite.
