Chapter 10 - THE ETERNAL GUARDIAN (FINALE)Ten years later.

The rain beat softly against the towering glass windows of the Moretti estate, but inside, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, music, and celebration.

The grand ballroom was packed with the most powerful figures in the city, politicians, and allied business leaders—all gathered to celebrate a very special milestone: the tenth birthday of young Leo Moretti, the undisputed heir to the empire.

At the center of the grand staircase stood Rocco Moretti, now fifty-eight, bearing gray temples that only added to his commanding, distinguished presence. Beside him stood an eighteen-year-old young woman in an elegant emerald-green dress, wearing a delicate silver pendant around her neck that caught the crystal chandelier light.

Sophia Bellini had grown into a brilliant, poised young woman, currently preparing to attend law school on a full scholarship funded personally by the Moretti family. She had never forgotten the cold night she carried a crying newborn out of the dark kitchen trash area.

Below them, ten-year-old Leo laughed as he blew out the candles on a magnificent birthday cake, surrounded by friends and family, including his loving mother figure, Elena.

Rocco raised a crystal glass of champagne, his deep, resonant voice cutting through the chatter of the ballroom, silencing the room instantly.

"Ten years ago," Rocco began, his eyes scanning the crowd before resting warmly on Sophia, "this house was built on cold systems, suspicion, and fear. I believed power meant control, and that everyone could be bought or betrayed."

He stepped down the stairs, walking over to Sophia and placing a proud hand gently on her shoulder.

"I was wrong," Rocco continued, his voice echoing clearly across the hall. "True power isn't found in gold watches, marble walls, or armed guards. It is found in loyalty, courage, and the heart of a little girl who walked barefoot into a dark room to save a life that wasn't even her own."

The entire ballroom erupted into thunderous applause. Sophia blushed slightly, smiling as little Leo ran over and hugged her waist.

Rocco raised his glass higher, looking out at his family, his empire, and his future. "To Sophia—the guardian of our bloodline, and the true heart of the Moretti family."

"To Sophia!" the crowd echoed in unison, raising their glasses high.
