Chapter 17 - THE GRADUATION OF A GUARDIAN!Three years later.
The sun shone brightly over the pristine lawns of Harvard Law School. Streams of graduates in black caps and gowns tossed their hats into the air amidst loud cheers and applause.
In the front row of the family seating area sat Rocco Moretti, wearing a distinguished dark suit, alongside Elena Bellini, who was wiping tears of pure joy from her eyes. Right beside them stood thirteen-year-old Leo Moretti, now a sharp, confident teenager wearing a miniature suit, holding a massive bouquet of red roses.
As the Dean called out the final honors graduates, a familiar name echoed across the courtyard:
"Sophia Bellini — Summa Cum Laude, valedictorian of the class!"
The crowd erupted into thunderous applause. Sophia walked across the stage, her posture radiant, her smile beaming as she accepted her Juris Doctor diploma with highest honors. Around her neck, glinting proudly in the afternoon sunlight, was the custom silver shield pendant Rocco had given her a decade ago—the Guardian of the Bloodline.
As she stepped off the stage, Leo ran forward, handing her the massive bouquet of roses. "Congratulations, big sis! You actually did it!"
Sophia laughed, dropping to her knees to hug him tightly. "I told you I would, Leo."
Rocco walked up slowly, a deep, proud smile gracing his features. He extended his hand, but instead of shaking it, Sophia stood up and threw her arms around the mafia boss in a warm, heartfelt embrace.
"Thank you, Mr. Moretti," Sophia whispered softly. "For everything."
