Chapter 7 - THE TETERBORO TARMACThe black armored SUV tore through the perimeter gates of Teterboro Airport, smashing through a chain-link security barrier as if it were made of paper. Behind us, two more SUVs filled with loyal Rossi enforcers roared in formation, their headlights cutting through the heavy midnight fog.

In the backseat, Leo slept soundly against my chest, his tiny heartbeat strong and steady.

"We have visual," Marcus’s voice crackled over the secure radio from the lead vehicle. "A Gulfstream G650 with Zurich flight clearance is taxiing toward Runway 4. The boarding stairs are still down. Two armed mercenaries are holding the perimeter."

"Ram the boarding stairs," Lorenzo ordered coldly, cocking an assault rifle he had pulled from the vehicle’s armory rack. "Take out the guards. No survivors."

The SUV surged forward, accelerating to terrifying speeds across the wet tarmac.

Through the bulletproof windshield, I saw the sleek, white private jet with its engines whining at maximum thrust. Suddenly, our vehicle slammed head-on into the mobile boarding stairs, crushing the metal structure beneath our heavy front bumper and sending a shower of sparks flying into the night air.

Doors flew open. Gunfire erupted across the tarmac as Rossi enforcers engaged the mercenaries guarding the jet. Bullets pinged harmlessly off our armored chassis before our men returned suppressing fire, neutralizing the threats in seconds.

"Stay in the vehicle," Lorenzo commanded me, opening his door.

"No," I said, unbuckling my seatbelt and holding Leo tight. "That's my daughter on that plane. I'm going with you."

Lorenzo looked into my eyes, saw the fierce, unyielding fire burning there, and nodded once. "Stay behind me."
