Chapter 20 - Forever Begins at DinnerThe grand dining room of the Rinaldi mansion glowed with the warm light of a hundred crystal chandeliers.

Around the massive mahogany table sat a family forged not just by blood, but by fire, resilience, and an unshakeable refusal to break.

At the center of the table rested a steaming, perfect platter of classic spaghetti carbonara—the exact dish that had started it all, steaming and golden under the lights.

Leo picked up his fork, looking around the table at his brothers, at Lucia, at Serena, and finally at his father.

“Are we going to eat, or are we going to listen to Daddy give another speech?” Leo deadpanned, raising an eyebrow with uncanny mimicry of Vittorio’s own expression.

Laughter erupted around the table, bright and warm, echoing off the gilded walls and high vaulted ceilings that had once known only silence and sorrow.

Vittorio raised his glass of red wine, his dark eyes shining with an unmistakable, fierce devotion as he looked directly across the table at Serena.

“No speeches tonight,” Vittorio said, smiling as he touched his glass to hers. “Just dinner.”

Serena smiled back, her hand resting safely over his beneath the table, knowing that whatever storms lay ahead in the world outside, they would face them together—one perfect meal, one unbreakable family at a time.
