Chapter 35 - The Legal Checkmate

I didn't open the folder. I didn't even blink. I simply looked up at him, studying the arrogance dripping from every millimeter of his posture.
"You think you’re the first person to walk into this office waving a dusty old family document and demanding my kingdom?" I asked softly.
Before Julian Jr. could retort, Caleb stepped forward from behind my desk, holding a slim black tablet.
"You might want to check the updated clause on page four of Arthur’s codicil, junior," Caleb said smoothly, handing the tablet across the desk. "The one filed under Amendment 12-B."
Julian Jr. frowned, snatching the tablet from Caleb’s hand. His eyes scanned the digital text, and the smug color in his cheeks rapidly drained into a sickly, ashen gray.
"This... this isn't real," Julian Jr. stammered, his hands shaking slightly as he read the legal prose. "Arthur couldn't write a morality clause into a corporate trust!"
"He didn't just write a morality clause," Noah interjected with a cold, analytical smile. "He wrote an absolute forfeiture clause. Any heir attempting to claim Veritas Holdings through corporate sabotage, extortion, or association with historical syndicates automatically forfeits all rights to the trust, transferring full ownership permanently to the incumbent chairwoman of Vance Global Tech."

Julian Jr. stared at the screen, his mind racing as he realized the trap. "You... you baited me. You left the archive server open intentionally."
"We didn't need to bait you," Liam said, stepping up beside his brothers. "Your arrogance did all the work for you."
