Chapter 38 - A New Horizon

Three months later, the transition of Veritas Holdings was complete.

We didn't hoard the wealth or build high castle walls to keep the world out. Instead, using the vast resources of the newly integrated trust, the Vance Foundation launched the Global Equity Initiative—funding education centers, sustainable infrastructure, and entrepreneurial grants for single mothers and underprivileged communities across the globe.

The Lake Geneva estate—once a cold, intimidating fortress of snobbery and exclusion—remained what it had transformed into: a sanctuary of learning, laughter, and community empowerment.

I stood on the stone balcony of the mansion on a warm summer evening, watching the sunset paint the lake in brilliant hues of gold and violet.

Footsteps approached softly from behind.

I turned to see my three sons walking out onto the balcony, holding cups of coffee, smiling as they looked out over the sprawling gardens where children laughed and played.

"Not the old days, Liam," I smiled, looking out at the endless horizon. "Just the future."
