Chapter 20 - THE ETERNAL HORIZONThe sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in magnificent strokes of violet, amber, and gold.

Inside the nursery, Gabriel was finally asleep, tucked beneath his blue blanket, breathing softly in the quiet dark.

Elena stood by the window, watching the stars begin to emerge one by one above the crashing waves. She wore her simple white linen dress—the same one she had worn on the morning of their dawn wedding.

Alejandro stepped quietly into the nursery, coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her flush against his chest.

"What are you thinking about?" he whispered softly against her ear.

"I was thinking about that night in the hospital corridor," Elena said, her voice filled with a quiet, reflective peace. "When I stood there holding Gabriel, crying under those harsh fluorescent lights, thinking my whole world was ending."

Alejandro kissed her shoulder, his grip tightening protectively. "And instead, it was just beginning."

They walked out onto the balcony together, side-by-side, facing the endless ocean and the bright expanse of the starry night sky. The past was gone, the shadows were buried, and their story was written in the stars—an eternal testament to a love that had conquered fear, broken every chain, and found its way home.
