“We have your digital signature, your encrypted communication logs with Teresa, and the live wire transfer you just initiated to your Cayman Islands account three minutes ago,” Elena said calmly, holding up her tablet screen so he could see the green confirmation checkmark of the federal sting operation.
David stopped struggling. His body went limp, defeated by the absolute weight of irrefutable evidence.
As they hauled him toward the elevator, I walked to the edge of the open-air floor and looked out over the glittering city skyline.
