Standing on the private balcony of her Montana alpine estate, Victoria held her son, now nearly a year old, resting comfortably against her shoulder. The little boy laughed, reaching out small, chubby hands to catch the mountain breeze.
"Look at that view, little one," Victoria whispered, kissing the top of his soft brown hair. "We’re home."
Her phone buzzed on the patio table. She picked it up with one hand.
It was a notification from her legal team: All asset recovery operations finalized. Final transfer of the Prescott estate completed successfully.
She locked the screen, slipping the phone back into her pocket. Brandon was locked away in a concrete cell fifty feet underground, forgotten by the world he had tried to conquer. Gretchen was serving a fifteen-year sentence in a federal correctional facility upstate.
And Victoria?
She was richer, stronger, and more powerful than she had ever been before. They had tried to bury her in the ice, believing she would disappear into the snow. But they made one fatal mistake.
