Chapter 19 - The New Queen of the MountainA year after the nightmare on the ice, Glacier National Park was draped in a fresh blanket of pristine white snow.

A sleek black helicopter descended gently onto the private helipad of the newly constructed Sterling Alpine Resort—a five-star luxury sanctuary overlooking the very cliff where Victoria had nearly died.

Victoria stepped out of the cabin, adjusting her sunglasses against the blinding mountain sun. Walking beside her was a healthy, laughing two-year-old boy who toddled forward wearing a miniature snowsuit, holding tightly to Marcus’s hand.

"Are you sure you want to build your primary residence right here, of all places?" Marcus asked, looking up at the towering cliff edge in the distance.

Victoria smiled, a genuine, radiant smile that reached her eyes. She knelt down, lifting her son into her arms and pointing toward the majestic peaks.

"Why not?" she whispered, the wind catching her dark hair. "This is where I died. And it’s where I was reborn."
