The memory of the boiling oil, the cruel laughter, and the cold leather shoes stepping over my body flashed briefly through my mind—not with pain, but as a reminder of the fire that forged my strength.
"Thank you," I began, my voice clear, steady, and echoing with absolute authority through the grand hall.
"For a long time, I thought silence was my only shield. I thought enduring was enough. But I learned that true survival isn't about hiding in the shadows—it's about turning on the light so the darkness has nowhere left to hide."
I paused, looking down at my hands, then back up at the crowd.
"If anyone ever tells you that you are weak, that you cannot survive without them, or that your story is over... remember this: The cage only holds you if you let them keep the key. And I hold the master key now."
