Chapter 18 - The Singapore ConnectionThree days later, Clara and I touched down in Singapore aboard my private corporate jet. The neon-lit skyline gleamed across the humid night air as our car sped toward the corporate headquarters of Apex Global Logistics—the very supplier recently acquired by the mysterious V-Holdings.

Our objective was simple: intercept the supply chain takeover before Victoria could lock down our manufacturing contracts.

We stepped into the sleek, glass-paneled boardroom of Apex Logistics at 9:00 AM sharp. Waiting for us at the far end of the long conference table was a woman who looked strikingly like Vanessa, yet possessed an entirely different aura. She wore an immaculate ivory silk blouse, her dark hair pulled back into a severe, flawless bun. Her expression was completely devoid of emotion.

"Arthur Sterling," Victoria said, her voice smooth, cultured, and chillingly polite. "And... Miss Clara, I presume. Welcome to Singapore."

I pulled out a chair, sitting down directly across from her without breaking eye contact. "Cut the pleasantries, Victoria. You bought thirty-five percent of my supply chain to sabotage the upcoming product rollout. Let's talk numbers to buy you out."

Victoria smiled—a cold, calculated expression that didn't reach her eyes. "Buy me out? Oh, Arthur, you still think this is about money, just like my foolish sister Vanessa did."

"Then what is it about?" Clara asked sharply, leaning forward with her hands flat on the table.

Victoria turned her gaze slowly toward Clara, her eyes narrowing with thinly veiled contempt. "It’s about family honor, Miss Clara. You see, the Sterling name destroyed my family. You humiliated Vanessa, you sent Martin to a federal cell, and you treated our legacy like garbage. You think you built an empire from the ashes, but I am going to burn those ashes down to the dirt."
