Chapter 18 - THE ASHES OF THE DYNASTY

Two weeks later, the federal investigation into Sterling Enterprises reached its final conclusion.
With Arthur Sterling gone and Victoria Vance indicted for corporate conspiracy and extortion, the board of directors voted unanimously to dissolve the old corporate structure entirely. Under Harrison and Sarah’s joint leadership, the company was rebranded as Parker-Sterling Global, shifting its entire multi-billion-dollar portfolio toward global child poverty relief, subsidized housing, and pediatric medical research.
The Grosse Pointe mansion—once a cold, forbidding fortress of greed and isolation—was officially converted into the headquarters of the Sterling-Parker Foundation, welcoming hundreds of struggling families every month.
On a bright, crisp Sunday morning, a simple, elegant wedding ceremony took place in the courtyard of the estate.
There were no billionaire tycoons, no corrupt corporate executives, no press corps. Just a handful of close friends, a team of dedicated doctors who had saved their lives, and four very excited children running across the lawn.
Sarah wore a simple, elegant ivory dress that caught the morning sunlight. As she walked down the cobblestone path on the arm of her brother—who had flown in from out of state—she looked toward the altar.
Harrison stood waiting for her, wearing a simple black suit, smiling with a warmth and sincerity she had never seen in him before.
When she reached him, Harrison took her hands in his, his eyes shining with unshed tears.

“I thought I lost you twice,” Harrison whispered as the officiant began to speak.
“You almost did,” Sarah smiled softly, squeezing his fingers. “Good thing my son knew how to dial an emergency number.”
