Chapter 9 - The Return of the QueenForty-eight hours later, the private jet carrying Julian and Evelyn finally touched down in Zurich—not as conquering corporate titans, but as exhausted, disheveled travelers who had just been released from federal custody with their tails tucked firmly between their legs.

They rushed straight from the tarmac to the penthouse suite of the Grand Zurich Hotel, bursting through the double doors expecting to find chaos.
Instead, they found absolute peace.
I was sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the city skyline, sipping a glass of champagne. The television was playing financial news in the background.
The headline flashing across the screen read: VANCE ENTERPRISES ANNOUNCES SHOCK RESTRUCTURING: VICTORIA VANCE NAMED SOLE GLOBAL CEO.
Julian stopped dead in his tracks, staring at me as if I were a ghost. Evelyn stepped past him, her face twisted in a mask of pure fury and disbelief.
"You..." Evelyn choked out, pointing a trembling finger at me. "You set us up. You planned this the entire time."
I slowly set my champagne glass down on the marble table and turned to face them.
"You tried to strand an orphan in a foreign country, Evelyn," I said softly, standing up and walking toward them with slow, deliberate steps. "You thought taking my phone and my passport stripped me of my power. You forgot that I built the very foundation you were standing on."
Julian looked ready to collapse, his voice cracking. "Victoria... please. We’re family. We made a mistake—"
"Family?" I cut him off, my voice dropping into a tone of absolute ice that made them both flinch. "You left me to rot in Tokyo. You tried to erase my existence."

I stopped right in front of them, looking down at the two people who thought they owned the world.
"Here is your new reality," I said, pulling two pristine, legal documents from my folder and dropping them onto the coffee table between us. "Sign the divorce papers, hand over the remaining residential deeds, and walk away with nothing. Or stay, and watch me dismantle every single asset your family has ever owned down to the last brick."
