Chapter 20 - The Moretti LegacyFifteen years later.

The grand ballroom of the Moretti estate was filled with elegance, music, and the bright laughter of high society. Tonight was not an anniversary, but something far more monumental: the dual graduation gala for Dante and Lena’s twins, who had both just graduated at the top of their respective Ivy League classes.
Lena stood by the terrace doors, wearing a timeless midnight-blue gown, watching her son and daughter mingle with Chicago’s most respected leaders, diplomats, and innovators. The Moretti name no longer commanded fear through underworld terror; it commanded absolute respect through legitimate empire, philanthropy, and unbreakable honor.
Strong, familiar arms wrapped around her waist from behind, and a warm kiss was planted softly against her temple.
"You look breathtaking," Dante murmured, his voice deeper with age, but his dark eyes holding the exact same fierce intensity as the day they met.
Lena smiled, leaning back into his embrace as she raised her crystal glass of champagne. "Look at them, Dante. We did it. We gave them a world where they never have to look over their shoulder."
Dante looked out at the crowded ballroom, then down at the woman who had walked into his dark office a lifetime ago with a bag of handmade ravioli and a broken heart. He tightened his grip around her, knowing that every battle, every tear, and every trial had been worth it.
"I didn't build this empire, Lena," Dante whispered softly into her ear, his voice thick with eternal devotion. "You did. You are the heart of the Moretti dynasty, and you always will be."
Lena turned around in his arms, wrapping her hands around his neck and smiling up at him as the string quartet began to play a slow, romantic waltz.

"Dance with me, husband," she whispered.
Dante smiled, pulling her flush against his chest as they stepped out onto the marble floor, ready to write the rest of their forever together.
